The overall victory was earned through a tough a half year preparation in Delray Beach (USA). i was able to become the clear winner of the Swiss Championship, thanks to my world-class form.One week later at the 12th of November 2005 i started at the World Championship in New York where i wasn’t able to show my good form from the Swiss Championship.I’ve lost the overall impression and dominance I’ve had a week ago...i arrived with 4 hours flight delay at midnight in New York.That ruined my concept completely! i started in the heavyweight class and ended up being 7th from totally 15 athletes! The World Championship was well organised. i wasn’t really happy with my performance. The World Championship was well organised. i wasn’t really happy with my performance. I had been too focused on the final preparations in the days leading up to the event and had some bad luck just before the finish line. With the form I was in on November 5th, 2005, a top 3 finish (heavyweight) and a fight for the world championship title would definitely have been possible! ( Contest-Picture )
