INBF World Championship at New York on the 11.12.2005
The overall victory was earned through a tough a half year preparation in Delray Beach (USA).
i was able to become the clear winner of the Swiss Championship, thanks to my world-class form. One week later at the 12th of November 2005 i started at the World Championship in New York where i wasn’t able to show my good form from the Swiss Championship. I’ve lost the overall impression and dominance I’ve had a week ago...i arrived with 4 hours flight delay at midnight in New York. That ruined my concept completely! i started in the heavyweight class instead of the lightweight class and unfortunately, that cost me a top position!
i ended up being 7th from totally 15 athletes in the heavyweight class!
The World Championship was well organised. i wasn’t really happy with my performance. i made a mistake in my preparation days before and i had some misfortune at the finish line. With the form and performance of the 5th of November 2005 i could have made a Top 3 placing (light- and heavyweight) and fight for the World Championship title!
